Lynn Mathewes is a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of healthcare experience, including over a decade as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Post-Master’s Certificate from the University of Cincinnati and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Prior to specializing in psychiatry, Lynn gained extensive experience across primary care, hematology/oncology, perioperative medicine, transplant services, case management, and community-based healthcare. Her diverse clinical background provides a unique perspective on the connection between physical and mental health and supports her integrated, whole-person approach to psychiatric care.
Her clinical interests include mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, schizophrenia, cognitive health, and the emotional impact of chronic medical conditions. Lynn provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing care, combining evidence-based treatment with a focus on overall wellness. She provides care for all ages from children to older adults.
Lynn works collaboratively with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that support emotional wellness, resilience, and quality of life. Outside of practice, she enjoys Pilates and wellness-focused activities and is a certified Pilates instructor. She values the mind-body connection and the importance of movement, balance, and self-care in overall health.
Lynn will start seeing new patients in mid-September 2026!
